RED/ROSÉ WINE OF THE MONTH
– MARCH 2010

Wine & Beverage Center has chosen the Panguea 2006 from the Chilean Apalta Vineyard located in Colchagua valley as the red wine of the month. The Apalta terroir has developed this remarkable and aromatic syrah.  The chief winemaker of the company is Felipe Tosso but for this specific wine it´s John Duval. John Duval is a well-known winemaker who was the Chief winemaker from the Penfold’s winery in Australia.

The Panguea name comes from the enormous continent our earth had for the 250 million ago before it separated into the continents we have today.

Panguea is a concentrated wine, with notes of blue and red berries, dark chocolate, and hints of vanilla. This powerful deep color wine has been aging for 20 months in fine grain French oak barrels.

The producer of the vineyard is Viña Ventisquero who is owned by food retail company Agrosuper.

From august 2009 the Wine category has been divided into two categories instead one.
1) Red/RoséWine and   2) White/Sparkling Wine
